Community

Formation happens in the context of community—and we want you to be a part of ours!

Worship God alongside others.

Grow by serving, belonging, and learning.

Help others do the same.

What's Your Next Step?

Everything we offer is designed to help you take your next steps.

First and foremost, you were made to worship God and love Him supremely. Each week, our church gathers at the Lincoln Theatre to sing His praise and be shaped by His Word.

Spiritual formation does not happen in isolation—it happens alongside others. That's why we offer opportunities to find community through Neighborhood Nights, Block Parties, and Meetups.

Following Jesus also means continuing to grow. At Passion City Church, we grow by serving on a Door Holder team, belonging in a Family Group, and learning in a CORE class.

Finally, we want you to help others do the same. Jesus' Great Commission is not only that we would be disciples, but that we would make disciples along the way—taking them on the same journey that changed us.

Neighborhood Nights

Jesus often gathered with people around a table to share a meal and teach them about Himself. We want to do the same. Neighborhood Nights are monthly gatherings in neighborhoods across the city, where you enjoy a (free!) meal, meet your neighbors, and discuss God’s Word.

The next Neighborhood Nights are July 14 (DC) and July 15 (VA). See the events page for locations and RSVP details! An RSVP is requested to help us plan and account for any food allergies or dietary restrictions.

Meetups

Meetups are relational on-ramps into community, designed to help you connect with others through shared interests, activities, and experiences. Offered seasonally, they provide an easy way to build relationships and get connected. The next round of Meetups is July 8-13!

Family Groups

Growth happens in groups—not alone. A Family Group is a group of 4-12 people with whom you regularly meet with to grow together and become like Jesus. Family Groups practice the spiritual rhythms of confession, prayer, hospitality, and encouragement together while being guided by a weekly Family Group Guide. We currently offer groups for Men, Women, and Married Couples.

CORE

CORE is an opportunity to grow in your faith by learning in a classroom setting. Our rotating curriculum covers a wide range of theological topics that we believe will strengthen your understanding of Scripture, your love for God, and your love of others.

The next CORE class is Apologetics on July 21-22. This class is designed to help you understand and articulate the Christian faith with confidence. Together, we'll explore thoughtful answers to some of the most common—and difficult—questions and objections about Christianity. Questions like: Can I know there is a God? How is Christianity distinct from other faiths? Did Jesus actually rise from the dead? Can the Bible actually be taken seriously? Why does a good God allow pain and suffering?
